BONN (dpa-AFX) - Deutsche Telekom wants to earn even more in 2023. Operating profit including leasing costs (Ebitda AL) should increase by four percent to almost 41 billion euros in the current year, the DAX-listed group announced in Bonn on Thursday. Last year, the Group had, among other things, divested its Netherlands business and sold the radio tower subsidiary GD Towers, which is why Telekom takes a pro forma prior-year figure as a basis. On this basis, free cash flow (FCF AL) is expected to climb by at least 40 percent from EUR 11.2 billion to more than EUR 16 billion.

In 2022, Deutsche Telekom increased net revenue by 6.1 percent year-on-year to around EUR 114.4 billion. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization including leasing costs (Ebitda AL) adjusted for special factors increased by 7.7 percent to EUR 40.2 billion. The Board of Management thus achieved its own target, and Deutsche Telekom also developed better than analysts had expected. Below the line, the Deutsche Telekom Group earned around eight billion euros, compared with just under 4.2 billion euros in the previous year./ngu/stk
