DFDS A/S (CPSE : DFDS) entered into an agreement to acquire McBurney Transport Group for DKK 1200 million.

DFDS A/S (CPSE : DFDS) entered into an agreement to acquire McBurney Transport Group for DKK 1200 million on December 29, 2022. The consideration will be paid on a debt-free basis. The transaction will be funded by existing cash funds.

In 2021, McBurney's revenue was DKK 1000 million and EBIDTA was DKK 160 million. Closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of Q1, 2023.

As of the announcement on February 23, 2023, regulatory approval has been obtained. Carolyn Carmichael of the McBurney Transport Group is appointed Managing Director of the new entity that becomes part of the Logistics Division's Cold Chain business unit.
