Dutch Green Business Group N.V. ("DGB" or "the Group") (Euronext: DGB), a leading reforestation and carbon ofsetting company, is proud to announce the launch of its new carbon management platform CO2.expert. The platform enables retail and corporate clients to measure their carbon footprint and provides recommendations about how to address it with carbon ofsets.

The CO2.expert platform has been developed to provide accurate, reliable and consistent carbon dioxide emissions analysis, combined with a user friendly, fast and efective interface. CO2.expert unites the entire carbon management process in a single platform to help companies and individuals keep track of carbon emissions and allows them to take immediate action.

It enables companies to measure the carbon impact of their business activities and identify the highest carbon producing activities. Users enter information about their business activities such as transport, energy use, fuel type and materials. The platform is fully compliant with the internationally recognised standard GHG Protocol and helps companies become carbon neutral in four easy steps:

  1. Measure & Understand.
  2. Reduce & Avoid
  3. Ofset residual emissions

4. Showcase & Disclose

The platform is designed in a way that multiple users of a company can contribute information allowing for greater oversight and understanding of where the biggest carbon impacts lie. The platform not only looks at the embedded carbon savings of reusing, redeploying and recycling materials, but it also takes transportation into consideration.

The CO2.expert platform also contains a user friendly checklist to help businesses complete all the steps necessary to achieve PAS 2060, the internationally recognised specifcation for carbon neutral status..

ESG reporting

All data, graphs and certifcates from CO2.expert are exportable, thereby enabling users to include them for internal or external ESG purposes, corporate reporting, evidencing compliance with the criteria required for green fnancing, investor presentations and quoting documents.

The information provided to users on the platform delivers:

  • Comparability - it allows users to gain actionable insights and compare themselves to other players in industry
  • Scalability - new locations can be added as corporates grow for company-wide impact reduction
  • Efciency - it reduces the efort and time to calculate your carbon footprint

To guarantee quality, DGB has worked with multiple specialist Dutch carbon modelling and sustainability consultancy frms, to develop the platform. DGB is working on building a network of distributors consisting of ESG consultants who will also have access to the platform.

Commenting on the launch of the calculator, Peter van der Wal, impact
