Diageo announces appointment of Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet to its Board of Directors

Diageo announces the appointment of Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet as a Non-Executive Director, effective on 1 January 2021. Valérie will also join the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees on appointment.

Valérie is the former CEO of Rémy Cointreau S.A., having led the company from September 2014 to December 2019. Before joining Rémy Cointreau, Valérie had worked for Louis Vuitton, LVMH Group since 2008 in a number of different roles, including President and CEO for the Americas, President and CEO for North America, President South Europe and CEO and President of Louis Vuitton Taiwan. Valérie had previously worked since 1984 at the L'Oréal S.A., including in Europe and the USA.

Valérie, who is a graduate of EM Lyon Business School, currently serves as an independent director on the supervisory board of Nextstage S.C.A. (NEXTS.PA).

Diageo chairman, Javier Ferrán, said: 'I am delighted to announce that Valérie will join the Diageo Board next year. Having spent her career in consumer goods in a number of markets, including North America, and as a former CEO in the premium drinks industry, she brings great experience and expertise to the Diageo Board and I look forward immensely to her contributions to our discussions. In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.15, Diageo confirms that there are no further details to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
