DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended July 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 3,112.42 million compared to USD 3,274.84 million a year ago. Net income was USD 318.5 million compared to USD 495.51 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 4.21 compared to USD 5.86 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.25 compared to USD 4.53 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 5,812.62 million compared to USD 6,193.56 million a year ago. Net income was USD 579.06 million compared to USD 857.27 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.63 compared to USD 10.13 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 5.7 compared to USD 7.96 a year ago.
DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. is a full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer. The Company's vertical brands include brands that it owns across hardlines and softlines and are available exclusively in its stores and online such as Alpine Design, CALIA, DSG, ETHOS, Fitness Gear, MAXFLI, Nishiki, Quest, Top-Flite, and Walter Hagen, as well as brands that it licenses from third parties.
