(Alliance News) - Digital Magics Spa announced Monday that it has obtained the international "Benefit corporation" or B-Corp certification.

B-Corp certification attests to the social value generated by corporate activities that have the strategic goal of combining the achievement of profit and the creation of positive impact in ESG areas. Being a Benefit Corporation means that the goal of value creation is realized, in parallel with economic sustainability, in the achievement of significant goals at the

social and environmental levels through corporate strategies, internal decision-making processes and participation of its workers in an ethical, fair and shared welfare-oriented manner.

The "Benefit corporation" certification is issued by an international body, B Lab, which verifies and guarantees the environmental and social performance of companies around the World, after a long and complex audit procedure that examines the activities, operating models, governance, and impact of the candidate company, according to a multiplicity of parameters that must meet strict standards.

"This achievement confirms our real commitment to pursuing ESG goals; we have worked with commitment and foresight to achieve B-Corp certification. We are proud and at the same time aware that Digital Magics has a vocation for sustainability in its DNA, we were born this way: it was natural for us to grow in this direction, building a credible and ethical path," commented Alberto Fioravanti, co-founder and CTO of the group.

"Just as Agenda 2030 has set concrete goals for the preservation of our planet, we too are making a tangible contribution through sustainable investments and ever-increasing policies in favor of a healthy and strong growth not only of our own but of the entire innovation ecosystem."

Digital Magics' stock is up 1.8 percent at EUR3.36 per share.
