AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Digital Turbine Inc. (APPS) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $11.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Austin, Texas-based company said it had profit of 11 cents. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and stock option expense, came to 34 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 32 cents per share.

The mobile software company posted revenue of $174.9 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $173.7 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, Digital Turbine expects its per-share earnings to range from 36 cents to 39 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $180 million to $190 million for the fiscal third quarter.

Digital Turbine shares have declined 82% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $10.77, a drop of 85% in the last 12 months.
