Property company Diös has initiated a partnership with the cross-country skier Linn Svahn and the biathlete Sebastian Samuelsson, both of whom live in Östersund, one of Diös' 15-minute cities. Part of the partnership will entail following the life of the two stars in an accessible city that offers nature and urban qualities alike. This partnership will commence immediately.

The active and multifaceted lifestyles of Östersund-based elite athletes Linn Svahn and Sebastian Samuelsson are a perfect match for Diös' core values and positioning of its markets as 15-minute cities. Both sides aim to contribute positively to each other's progress through this partnership.

"We are very happy to be collaborating with Linn and Sebastian. We are inspired and impressed by how they are as private individuals and as sports people. They both describe Östersund as the best city for them, and there is no doubt that they can genuinely convey what it means to live in a 15-minute city. Northern Sweden is a hotter market than ever, and we're convinced that our 15-minute cities are the future," says Mia Forsgren, Head of Marketing and Communications at Diös.

The cross-country skier Linn Svahn made her World Cup debut in 2019, quickly gaining a place amongst the world's elites, and winning the 2019/2020 Sprint Cup. At the beginning of 2021 she was awarded Sportswoman of the Year for 2020 at the Swedish Sports Gala Awards. Last September Svahn underwent shoulder surgery and, with a rehabilitation plan in place, now has her sights set on the 2022 Olympics in Peking.

"Living in Östersund is an obvious choice for me. It's a city with plenty of opportunities, especially for me as a skier, but also as a private individual with an active lifestyle alongside my training. I am completely determined to fight my way back from my shoulder injury and I'm grateful for the support I receive from Diös. We share the same active views and both like to aim for the top," says Linn Svahn.

Bialthlete Sebastian Samuelsson, who made his debut in Östersund in 2016, is also in hard training ahead of the Olympics and his sixth World Cup season. His sporting merits include one World Cup victory in 2020, gold and silver in the 2018 Olympics and five World Cup medals.

"I'm careful in my choice of partners, particularly ahead of such an important season. As an elite athlete, living in a 15-minute city like Östersund is perfect. My training can always be given priority here, without my having to forego anything in my daily life as everything I need is within a reasonable distance. I'm proud to be collaborating with Diös and I'm looking forward to a fruitful time together," says Sebastian Samuelsson
