IT product company Dist IT announces that a subsidiary has been affected by a cyber-attack. The situation is considered serious and has some financial impact, it is stated in a press release.

The attack is said to have started on Thursday and since then the company is working to restore the systems to normal operations. To minimize the impact, the IT system has had to be shut down, which means that customer orders can be received but deliveries are delayed until the systems are back up and running.

"Indications are that the perpetrators had access to data but it is too early to assess what and the extent," Dist IT writes.

The attack should not have caused any security problems for employees or others.
