Diego’s career in offshore wind is just beginning

First, please do not call them windmills (haha), they are wind turbines!

More importantly, they are a huge compliment to solar, since they can produce electricity at night and in the winter. Offshore wind has the potential to generate a lot more power than onshore wind - due to the fact that offshore wind speeds tend to be higher and the fact that we can build much larger turbines offshore than onshore.

And the benefits aren't just to our environment, there are direct economic benefits too. According to an offshore wind economic impact analysis conducted by Virginia-based Mangum Economics, CVOW will create hundreds of good-paying clean energy jobs, millions in tax revenues and hundreds of millions in economic benefits.

It's also a catalyst for a new domestic supply chain hub, that will serve the U.S. East Coast wind industry. Our offshore wind turbines will benefit the entire community and region.
