Dominion Energy has announced that Dan Weekley will lead its Ohio operations as president. Jim Eck, president, will retire Jan. 1, 2023 after a 25-year career at the company.

Weekley assumed operational responsibility for Dominion Energy Ohio on Dec. 1, 2022. Weekley joined Consolidated Natural Gas in 1989, which merged with Dominion Energy in 2000. He has held a number of roles across the company's natural gas businesses, including in external affairs for Hope Gas (formerly Dominion Energy West Virginia) and for Dominion Energy Transmission in New York.

He served as vice president and general manager-Southern Pipeline Operations (Carolina Gas Transmission) from 2017 to 2019. He most recently served as vice president-Innovation Policy and Development and led the company's business areas in developing and implementing innovative energy policies. Weekley serves on the board of the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP), the region's leading economic development organization.

He has also served on numerous boards in Virginia, Connecticut, Massachusetts and South Carolina. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and finance from Marshall University and an executive master's degree in business administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Eck came to Consolidated Natural Gas (CNG) in 1998 as a corporate contracts manager.

He was promoted to vice president in 2007 over Human Resources. Eck also led the company's generation business development efforts and its merchant asset operations. He has been in charge of operations for Dominion Energy Ohio since 2017.
