MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Donaldson Co. (DCI) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $56.2 million.

The Minneapolis-based company said it had net income of 44 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs, came to 52 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 51 cents per share.

The maker of filtration systems posted revenue of $679.1 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $654 million.

Donaldson expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.17 to $2.25 per share.

Donaldson shares have climbed 11% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 24% in the last 12 months.
