BOSTON (AP) _ DraftKings Inc. (DKNG) on Friday reported a loss of $217.1 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Boston-based company said it had a loss of 50 cents.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 87 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $466.2 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $438.2 million.
