SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Dropbox Inc. (DBX) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $62 million.

The San Francisco-based company said it had net income of 17 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 38 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 37 cents per share.

The online file-sharing company posted revenue of $572.7 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $569.4 million.
