Duke Realty : Breaks Ground on Speculative Development in Chicago Submarket

CHICAGO - August 4, 2021 - The Chicago office of Duke Realty (NYSE: DRE), the leading domestic-only, pure-play logistics property REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) in the United States, announces the construction of a 370,973-square-foot speculative development in Woodridge, Illinois. The planned state-of-the-art facility is located within minutes of Chicago's airports, close to major thoroughfares and rail lines - serving as an ideal location for prospective tenants looking to expand supply chain capabilities.

'What was a vacant movie theatre will soon be a modern logistics facility that employs hundreds of Illinois workers.'

Duke Realty's development on approximately 21 acres at 10000 Woodward Avenue in Woodridge, on the east end of the I-55 submarket offers proximity to the city of Chicago and the I-355 and I-55 interchanges. The planned facility will have 36' clear height, 37 dock doors, four drive-in doors, 44 trailer spaces and 343 parking spaces. The facility is expected to be complete in January 2022. These facilities will be built to LEED® certification standards.
