Bietigheim-Bissingen, August 11, 2022 - To ensure those in need receive good and free cancer treatment, Dürr India Private Ltd. has donated almost €40,000 to the non-profit Cancer Institute (WIA - Women's Indian Association) in Chennai. The East Indian city is home to the headquarters of the mechanical and plant engineering firm's Indian subsidiary. Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Dürr AG, presented the donation check during the celebrations for the Dürr subsidiary's 25th anniversary.

The Cancer Institute first received financial aid from Dürr four years ago. Now the company renews its support. "In this state-of-the-art facility, cancer patients receive first-class treatments regardless of their social or economic status. We want to help ensure that the Cancer Institute can continue to offer these treatments in the future," said Dr. Jochen Weyrauch as he presented the donation in Chennai.

Dürr India Private Ltd. celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The subsidiary started out in Chennai in 1997 with 10 employees. Today, there are more than 350 staff working for the company across four sites.
