Hearing Australia Launches Systems Modernization Program to Make it Even Easier for Clients to Get Help.

Hearing Australia has launched a Systems Modernization Program with leading independent technology services provider DXC Technology to make it even easier for people with hearing loss to get the help they need.

Hearing Australia helps thousands of children, adults, pensioners, veterans and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people connect with their loved ones and their communities every week. With more than 450 audiologists, Hearing Australia provides hearing care through tele-services, online, in home and across a nationwide network of 168 centers.

We've been helping Australians experience the joy of sound for over 70 years and we have over 270,000 clients that we put at the heart of everything we do, says Kim Terrell, Managing Director, Hearing Australia. The vision at the center of our Systems Modernization Program is to equip and empower our people to make it even easier to help people with hearing loss to access our services.

The Systems Modernization Program will replace Hearing Australia's ageing core ICT systems and business processes over the next 18 months.

We listen to our clients and we're responding to their feedback on how we can improve their experience and service, adds Kim. We want to provide services that are more flexible, customized, innovative and digitally enabled to continue providing the highest standard of care and better outcomes for our clients and the community. We want to make it easier for our people to work together, to be even more engaged and focused on delivering on our purpose - to provide world leading hearing services for the wellbeing of all Australians.

Hearing Australia has selected DXC Technology to help deliver the Systems Modernization Program following a competitive tender process in late 2019.

DXC demonstrated a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Hearing Australia, as well as the capability and experience required to successfully implement the scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution. Their experience-led transformation approach will ensure the program and technology platform will be co designed with the team at Hearing Australia.

Replacing three ageing systems with an integrated technology platform will bring improvements to client experience and service delivery.

This will streamline business processes across multiple channels for a seamless client experience, while maintaining global best practice, technology and security within the Microsoft eco-system, says Mike Brett, Chief Information Officer, Hearing Australia.

The program is a key enabler for us to better understand our clients and help them at every stage of their hearing journey.

The focus on delivering services when and how clients need them is particularly important in the face of a national pandemic,' adds Mike. 'Hearing Australia has stayed open for its clients and is helping over 10,000 children, adults, pensioners and veterans every week, including through the use of tele-health services. The Systems Modernization Program will make it even easier for these clients to get the help they need.'
