E.ON, Europe's largest energy networks operator, has so far not seen a pickup in electricity demand across Europe after the coronavirus crisis triggered a "dramatic" decline, its chief executive said.

Johannes Teyssen, at the group's virtual annual general meeting, said that even though lockdown restrictions had been eased this has not led to higher power demand. "Easing restrictions alone will not cause a recovery," he said.
