E.ON has transferred its remaining 20 percent stake in the UK offshore wind farm Rampion to RWE. As part of the comprehensive transaction with RWE, a 30.1 percent stake had already been transferred to RWE in 2019. The offshore wind farm is already operated by RWE today. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2021. Confidentiality was agreed on the purchase price.

Rampion is located 13 kilometers off the coast of Sussex in the English Channel. The wind farm with 116 turbines was commissioned in April 2018. The remaining 49.9 percent of Rampion is held by a consortium led by Macquarie (25 percent) and the Canadian energy group Enbridge (24.9 percent).
