BOSTON, Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Buy-Write Opportunities Fund (NYSE: ETV), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2014. The Fund's fiscal year ended on December 31, 2014.

For the three months ended September 30, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $1,742,828 ($0.027 per share). For the nine months ended September 30, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $5,364,324 ($0.084 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended September 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $2,118,579 ($0.034 per share). For the nine months ended September 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $6,015,205 ($0.095 per share).

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended September 30, 2014 were $17,213,800 ($0.274 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the nine months ended September 30, 2014 were $65,036,797 ($1.022 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended September 30, 2013 were $27,956,946 ($0.436 per share). On September 30, 2014, net assets of the Fund were $951,492,333. The net asset value per share on September 30, 2014 was $14.95 based on 63,659,038 shares outstanding.
