EBay : ReOpen Report Part II

Hello Sellers,

As we head into July 4th, there's a sense of excitement and the summer seems to be bringing sunnier days. With this, people are also in the mood to spend, often ahead of parties, trips and special occasions. So I want to share (as I promised we'd do) the latest eBay shopping trends courtesy of our secondReOpen Report.

June data shows a mix that's heavy on the celebration scale. From backyard games, grills, and outdoor entertaining accessories to convertibles, campers and canoes, shoppers have been embracing items that point to a summer of fun and adventure.

Check out some summer spending highlights, along with insights into all segments of the post-pandemic shopping spectrum: heading back to the office, getting vacation ready, first date prepping, event attendance and entertaining.

I've heard from many of you that this type of data can be interesting and also helpful as you think about what to merchandise and when. And we know buyers appreciate curated eBay picks from influential stylists and fashion experts as they reinvent themselves this summer.

Along with practical information, we also decided to have some fun and recently teamed up with YouTube star and survivalist Coyote Peterson on a short video titledReOpen Ready, to 'guide' shoppers through return-to-the-real-world purchases.

This content is an example of new creative ways we're pointing shoppers to eBay as a place to find unique, rare and valued items as we venture back into the 'real world'.
