Eclat Textile Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 6,939.327 million compared to TWD 6,921.411 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 1,388.657 million compared to TWD 1,350.062 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 1,070.310 million compared to TWD 1,209.037 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 3.91 compared to TWD 4.41 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 3.9 compared to TWD 4.41 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 13,183.624 million compared to TWD 13,501.580 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 2,497.594 million compared to TWD 2,515.190 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 1,971.244 million compared to TWD 2,100.724 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 7.19 compared to TWD 7.66 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 7.18 compared to TWD 7.66 a year ago.
Eclat Textile Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the garments and fabrics business. The Companyâs primary products include active wear, performance wear, ready to wear, seamless wear, flexible knit fabrics, organic cotton fabrics, lyocell fiber fabrics, rayon fiber fabrics, polymer fiber fabrics, anti-bacterial fabrics and others. Its fabrics are mainly used in the production of sportswear, casual garments, underwear and swimsuits. The Company mainly operates through two business segments. The Knitted Fabrics segment is mainly engaged in the production and sale of knitted fabrics. The Ready-made Garments segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of garments. The Company mainly operates its business in Taiwan, the Americas and other Asian markets.
