TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Edgio, Inc. (EGIO) on Monday reported a loss of $16.4 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Tempe, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions and stock option expense, came to 7 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.

The network services company posted revenue of $74.3 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $61.4 million.

Edgio expects full-year revenue in the range of $380 million to $390 million.
