Edimax Technology is proud to reveal the brand new EW-7238RPD N300+ Dual-Band Universal Wi-Fi Extender, a state-of-the-art 300Mbps slimline dual-band Wi-Fi extender. Designed to boost the coverage of any Wi-Fi network and deliver high-quality 5GHz Wi-Fi across your entire home, the EW-7238RPD offers an extensive array of features along with remarkable performance in a sleek, wall mounted design.

Easy to use and compatible with any wireless router or access point, the EW-7238RPD eliminates Wi-Fi dead zones and meets today's ever-growing demand for high speed connectivity. The volume of Wi-Fi devices in homes and businesses has never been greater, and consumers are hungry for the Wi-Fi capacity to enjoy their favourite devices anywhere; without limits. The EW-7238RPD solves signal problems and dispenses with Wi-Fi dead zones, allowing tablets, smart phones, smart TVs, game consoles, network cameras or any other wireless device to access fast, reliable dual-band Wi-Fi.

Dual-Band 2.4GHz & 5GHz
Dual-band Wi-Fi means two simultaneous Wi-Fi networks on different radio frequencies - 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The 5GHz frequency band is significantly less crowded than the standard 2.4GHz band, which is used by other household appliances along with the majority of Wi-Fi devices. Neighbours and other Wi-Fi devices in the surrounding area all contribute to interference and lag on the 2.4GHz band. Without this interference, 5GHz brings faster and more stable performance, ideal for streaming intensive media such as HD movies and music or online gaming. The 2.4GHz band though can still be used for less bandwidth-demanding, everyday tasks such as email and web surfing. And with support for wireless IEEE802.11a/b/g/n standards, the EW-7238RPD offers combined 2.4GHz + 5GHz Wi-Fi speeds up to 300Mbps anywhere in your home or office.

Universal Compatibility
The EW-7238RPD works with absolutely any wireless router or access point. Universal compatibility ensures that installation is simple and straightforward regardless of your existing network configuration - browser-based iQ Setup guides you through the process to establish a connection and extend your Wi-Fi in seconds. And a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button provides a secondary setup option for use with WPS-compatible routers/access points; simply push the button on both devices to activate WPS and the devices will quickly and automatically establish a secure connection.

Compact & Energy Saving Design
A subtle, low-profile design sits in any electrical socket and blends quietly into home or office environments. Additionally, an in-built Ethernet port accommodates devices with no Wi-Fi capacity, effectively enabling the EW-7238RPD to be further used as a Wi-Fi client for an Ethernet-only device. And while the built-in power adapter means you can use the electrical socket occupied by the Wi-Fi extender as usual for another appliance, the EW-7238RPD also features IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to regulate the power supply to an Ethernet data link based on usage. This, along with further configuration options to disable the extender's LEDs and a convenient power switch, contribute to a dynamic, energy-saving and efficient product from Edimax Technology.
