Fairview Fire ESIR: Additional Information1

On September 5, 2022, SCE submitted an Electric Safety Incident Report (ESIR) to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). SCE is required to submit a report to the CPUC on certain types of incidents that may involve utility facilities. The submission of the ESIR to the CPUC is intended to make the CPUC aware of an incident so that it can conduct its own investigation. In submitting the report, SCE is not conceding that its equipment caused the wildfire or that it is at fault for the damages caused by the wildfire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
