Shares of power producers fell, but not by as much as the broad market, as investors hewed to defensive sectors ahead of Friday's August jobs report.
EDP-Energias de Portugal posted a decline in second-quarter net income, weighed down by a pandemic-related reduction in energy consumption in its main markets and a one-off cost.
