EDP Renewables and its recently acquired company, Kronos Solar EDPR, announce that they have produced their first solar megawatts in France from the Neuilly solar power plant in the commune of Neuilly-sur-Suize (Grand Est).

The new photovoltaic park has an installed capacity of around 5 MWp.

It is equipped with more than 8,500 bifacial photovoltaic panels, a technology that enables solar radiation to be captured on both sides of the panel, maximizing production.

Construction began in the first quarter of 2023.

The project will generate enough electricity to power around 1,200 homes a year, and avoid the emission of over 2,500 tonnes of CO2 each year in the Haute-Marne region.

EDP Renewables currently has an installed capacity of over 600 MW in France (including more than 200 MW of its own).
