Ford Aquitaine Industries has entrusted Eiffage Genie Civil with the deconstruction of the Ford plant in Blanquefort (33).

For this operation, the demolition teams carry out the cleaning, asbestos removal, deconstruction of superstructures and infrastructures (paving and foundations), recycling of materials and waste treatment of the entire site.

The recovery, recycling and reuse of materials are at the heart of the challenges of the operation. Broadly speaking, we can summarize the operation as follows: 183,500 m-2 of facilities spread over 22 buildings and roads are deconstructed, 200 tonnes of asbestos waste 30,000 tonnes of polluted concrete treated off-site 15 000 tonnes of scrap revalorised 100,000 tonnes of inert concrete reused locally 300 m3 of furniture were dismantled, for re-use, via local associations and organizations

The demolition teams ofEiffage Genie Civil mobilized the Clemessy Services teams ofEiffage Energie Systemes for the realization of the aspects of site connections and the security of the gas networks before asbestos removal intervention.

Ultimately, this project will allow the dismantling of an ICPE industrial site. This operation is the first step of Ford's project to rehabilitate the site and remove it, in compliance with the regulations, from the ICPE (Classified Installation for the Protection of the Environment) classification.
