On Thursday 28 October, the Abbe Pierre Foundation inaugurated its Valenciennes Solidarity Boutique, which was rehabilitated as part of its partnership with Eiffage Construction. The inauguration was represented by General Delegate Christophe Robert, directors and team members. Eiffage Construction was represented by its president, Olivier Genis.

Partner of the Abbe Pierre Foundation since 2005, Eiffage Construction provides full support to the Foundation through financial sponsorship, in kind and skills for the renovation of Solidarity Shops (day care) and family pensions of its network spread throughout the territory.

The 28 Solidarity Shops of the Abbe Pierre Foundation network offer people in great difficulty daily services to meet the most basic needs (hygiene, food, reception of mail, etc.) and set up personalized support (housing search, administrative assistance).

The 40 boarding houses, on the other hand, are places that are characterized by an organized collective life and where people suffering from isolation and experiencing difficulties in living in independent housing are housed without a time limit.

For 16 years, the partnership with Eiffage Construction has allowed the renovation of 7 Solidarity Shops and Guesthouses of the Foundation's network: the Solidarity Boutiques of Reims, Gagny, Beauvais, Perpignan, Mantes-la-Jolie, Valenciennes as well as the Pension de famille de Laval. Two projects to renovate guesthouses are currently under study in Ales and Cavaillon.
