Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group announced the appointment of Mr. Thepparat Theppitak as the President according to the Board of Directors' resolution in the meeting No. 8/2020 on June 17, 2020.

Mr. Thepparat Theppitak will officially assume his president position on July 1, 2020. He will lead EGCO Group in pursuing the vision 'To be a major sustainable Thai energy company with full commitment to environment protection and social development support', which frames its future business direction focusing on strengthening its leadership in the power generating business and expanding its wings in energy-related business, as well as exploring new investment opportunity in core-related business for sustainable growth.

Mr. Thepparat Theppitak, 54 years old, presently serves as Deputy Governor - Power Plant Development and Renewable Energy of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (2018 - present). Previously, he took charge of the position of Assistant Governor - Renewable and New Energy of EGAT (2017 - 2018). He has extensive experiences in engineering techniques including power plant development and management.

For educational background, Mr. Thepparat graduated with a master's degree in Electricity Industry Management and Technology from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, and got a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chiangmai University. He also attended various advanced management programs from leading domestic and international institutes.
