Thursday, December 6, 2018 -Design is Dead is living its second youth and moving to new digs. The agency with a past in creative marketing and campaigns further developed its experience of over 15 years in successful digital marketing tool integration. Its agile tech focus makes that its services are in high demand for business-critical IT projects, and its team grew from 25 to 45 talents in the last 12 months, also welcoming 3 senior experts to its management team.

Design is Dead is respected as a solid e-expert for multichannel developments, based on the effective collaboration between business departments and their multidisciplinary DevOps teams. The move to the new Brussels office is a logical answer to its recent growth and requests for international collaboration. It also improves its partnerships with other entities of Emakina Group, that is headquartered at the same location and unites over 900 experts in 12 countries.

The team of 45 people continues to mine technologies like Adobe Experience Cloud and full-stack Java applications, for long-standing clients like Telenet, and new projects in automotive, banking and business consulting. The digital agency doubled its consultant base in one year and reinforced its management with 3 remarkable new people:

  • Senior digital transformation expert Yoeri Conickx joined as Client Service Director. His track record includes top projects at AG Insurance, Argenta, BMW, ETAP Lighting, Opel, Reynaers Aluminium and Viessmann.
  • Kris Barnhoorn is the company's new Innovation and Technology Director, adding expertise on fields like data management, machine learning and blockchain. He worked for Emakina Group sister company Emakina.BE and piloted own international projects as an entrepreneur and computer scientist. He is also a creative DJ and music producer.
  • Seasoned Talent Manager Hanne De Wit is a third new pillar. She learned the ropes in HR at the Belgian Court of Auditors, the Red Cross, bpost, and DKV. Her last position was HR Director Vaillant Group.

For the new managers, Design is Dead clearly was the right path to continue their career.
