The health service of Talcahuano is set to award the contract for the construction of the third stage of the Las Higueras hospital to local company Moller & Pérez-Cotapos, following the disqualification of two other bidders. The tender had started with an CLP 114 billion (USD 180 million) budget and received four bids. Inso (CLP 98 billion) and Constructora San José (CLP 104 billion) offered the lowest bids, yet were disqualified, the head of Talcahuano health service, Mauricio Jara, told daily El Sur.
