Karlsruhe. Changes on the management team at EnBW in Karlsruhe: Today, two new members of the Board of Management, Dirk Güsewell and Georg Stamatelopoulos, take up office. Chief Technical Officer Hans-Josef Zimmer goes into retirement on the same day. The new Board of Management line-up notably reflects the strategic goal of significant growth in both existing and new energy and infrastructure markets in the years ahead.

'On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, my sincere thanks go once again to Hans-Josef Zimmer, who is leaving us for reasons of age after almost ten years as Chief Technical Officer and over 30 years of service to the Company. During his tenure, EnBW has evolved from a traditional power station operator into a strong player in renewable energy and in particular a pioneer in offshore technology. He has done a great deal to drive forward the expansion of wind and solar energy and of our power grids, making our business portfolio fit for the future,' said Lutz Feldmann, Chairman of the EnBW Supervisory Board.

The Supervisory Board of EnBW decided at the end of the last year to add further responsibilities to the previous technical remit and to divide it into two management positions:
