ENDÚR ASA 29. October 2020 - Marine services group Endúr ASA's subsidiary company Endúr Sjøsterk has been awarded a contract to build and deliver two complete feed barges to Norwegian aquaculture group Nordlaks. The total contract value is above NOK 50 million. 'We have defined the aquaculture industry as a key growth segment for Endúr going forward. Contracts such as this confirms the rationale behind this direction,' says Hans Petter Eikeland, CEO of Endúr ASA, which has announced an ambition of developing a NOK 2-2.5 billion revenue company within 2022. As part of the contract Endúr Sjøsterk in Bergen, Norway, will build and deliver two Sjøsterk 500 feed barges to Nordlaks. The barges will be the fourth and fifth barge that Endúr Sjøsterk has supplied to Nordlaks in the past three years. Estimated delivery dates for the two barges are the third quarter 2021 and second quarter 2022, respectively. Both feed barges are 18x28 metres big with a feed capacity of 500 tonnes. The barges will be equipped for use in harsh weather conditions where requirements to flexibility and operational reliability are particularly high. In 2019, Endúr Sjøsterk supplied three feed barges to Nordlaks. 'Repeat business from existing customers is the best possible confirmation of the quality of our feed barges and competitiveness in the aquaculture market,' says Mons-Ove Hauge, managing director of Endúr Sjøsterk. Hauge started in his role on 1 October 2020. Endúr is a Norwegian marine services group with activities within aquaculture, marine infrastructure, maritime services and energy. Nordlaks is a family-owned aquaculture group with headquarters in Stokmarknes, Vesterålen, Norway. It is an integrated company with operations within production of roe, smolt production, wellboats, post-harvest processing and filet factory. The company's activities employ 550 people across 12 municipalities in North-Norway.
