• The fans will compete to achieve greenhouse gas offset on trips during the 2021/2022 LFEndesa through participation in forestry projects.
  • A double season ticket for the 2022 LFEndesa Copa de la Reina at stake, among other individual prizes.

The 2021 LFEndesa Copa de la Reina begins in Valencia and Endesa, the sponsoring partner of the competition, puts the focus on the sustainability and virtual connection of Basket Lovers who, for the first time in history, will not be able to fill the stands or the streets of the city due to the pandemic.

#TheMostSustainableFans

After the success of the Copa del Rey initiative, the Copa de la Reina fans will also compete to see which is the most sustainable. The initiative brings the traditional fan competition to the field of sustainability with a fun quiz in which each fan can show how much they know about sustainability at www.endesabasketlover.com/aficionsostenible and add points for their team.

The team that achieves the highest score thanks to its fans will receive as a prize the offset of its greenhouse gas emissions caused by trips during the 2021/2022 season in the Endesa Women's League, through participation in forestry projects that contribute to the mitigation of climate change. These projects are based on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the sink effect of forests, which also improve biodiversity and help communities the countries that have them, in line with the United Nations SDGs. Participants will also be eligible to win different prizes for participating, such as a double season ticket for the 2022 LFEndesa Copa de la Reina, an electric scooter, a Copa de la Reina hoodie customized by Melon Kicks, tickets to watch a training session of one of the teams and a set of sustainable products.

In 2021, Endesa marks its 10 years of collaborating with basketball, with presence in competitions such as the LFEndesa Copa del Reina, the Endesa Women's League and the Endesa League. Endesa also sponsors the ACB, the Spanish Basketball Federation, the Spanish EuroLeague and EuroCup teams and the NBA, reaffirming its commitment and support for basketball as a whole.
