• Felipe Reyes and Ignacio Jiménez presented the partnership.

Enrique Sánchez, Executive Vice President of the Real Madrid Foundation, chaired the renewal of the partnership between Endesa and the Real Madrid Foundation today at the Real Madrid City Auditorium. The captain of the first basketball team, Felipe Reyes, and the General Director of Communication of Endesa, Ignacio Jiménez, were in charge of presenting the collaboration.

For the eleventh consecutive season, Endesa's collaboration will cover projects in Spain, Portugal (in collaboration with Misiones Salesianas) and Morocco (in collaboration with Paideia), especially in adapted basketball schools in Spain.

In his words Ignacio Jiménez, Endesa's General Director of Communication, pointed out that 'the project that we are developing together with the Real Madrid Foundation is crucial for Endesa, since it allows us to complete our global commitment to basketball. We always like to say that Endesa is the basketball company in Spain and this implies that our support goes beyond professional basketball, reaching out to all the kids who play this sport and those who achieve greater integration into our society by playing it. This year, even more so, we want to express our gratitude to all of you who are part of the Real Madrid Foundation, since we know the effort you are making in the midst of the pandemic so that all the boys can continue playing their favourite sport while working on their personal development.

For his part, Felipe Reyes wanted to highlight the importance of the collaboration of entities such as Endesa in the development of projects because 'basketball is a great educational tool, a school of values, which I am sure improves the lives of the participants and beneficiaries,' for which he thanked Endesa for its invaluable collaboration 'as a driving force behind basketball in all its aspects, professional, educational, social and amateur.'

During the event, the Executive Vice President of the Foundation, Enrique Sánchez, reviewed the key points of the collaboration between both entities for so many years since almost 8,000 boys and girls in five different countries have benefited from this partnership that began in 2010 in projects in Brazil and Peru and is now focusing on projects in Spain, Morocco and Portugal

During the 20/21 season, once again, about half a thousand beneficiaries of the adapted basketball schools of the Real Madrid Foundation in Spain have the support of Endesa, which allows the scholarship system to continue as well as the inclusive days of the socio-sports tournament for schools that will soon begin.
