The Spanish Basketball Federation and Endesa (which is one of the Federation's partners and sponsors) have signed an agreement ratifying the commitment of the energy company to the women's national team and women's basketball as a whole by becoming an Event Sponsor of the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.

Endesa's ties with basketball have become even stronger with its involvement in this major sports event, to be held from 22 to 30 September on the island of Tenerife. The 16 best national women's basketball teams will compete in the event, with Endesa providing communications and marketing resources.

Each of the games will begin with the child of an Endesa customer handing over the game ball to the three match officials just before tip-off. It will be a unique experience for those taking part, attracting huge media attention at each of the 40 matches in the World Cup.

Spain's women's national team will visit Endesa's headquarters in Madrid on Monday 10 September before heading to Tenerife. They will also call in at the company's offices on the island on 14 September. Lastly, Endesa will be associated with the Kiss Cam that will entertain the audience during timeouts in the matches held at the Pabellón Santiago Martín sports arena in San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
