The company also restarted the 90,200-bpd No. 2 crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Mizushima-B refinery, also located in western Japan, on May 14, according to an emailed update on refinery operations sent to Reuters on Monday.

The 162,000-bpd No. 1 CDU at its Kashima refinery east of Tokyo was shut down due to "plant trouble" on May 11 and there is no restart schedule set, the email said.

The company's 135,000-bpd Sakai refinery in western Japan will be shut soon for maintenance and is scheduled to be restarted in June, Eneos said.
