The Ranger Mine area and the Jabiluka mineral lease are located on Aboriginal land and are surrounded by, but separate from, the Kakadu National Park. The Ranger uranium mine lies approximately 79 square kilometers and is surrounded by, but separate from the Kakadu National Park, which is approximately 20,000 square kilometers. The Jabiluka estimated mineral resource is approximately 137,100 tons of uranium oxide.
