Engie: extension of the Red Sea Wind Energy project
This project, the largest in Africa, is being developed as part of the Red Sea Wind Energy consortium. The French energy group, which owns 35% of the consortium, is playing a key role in the development and construction of the project.
As part of this extension, an additional agreement to the long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), guaranteeing revenues for the 150 MW of the extension for a period of 25 years.
