Eni finalized the repurchase of perpetual hybrid subordinated issues totaling 1.215 billion euros.

This was announced in a company note after the closing - last night - of the terms of acceptance of the offer for a hybrid perpetual bond in the total amount of 1.5 billion.

"Upon the expiration of the terms of the offer, the amount accepted by Eni for the repurchase of the hybrid bond is 1,215,394,000 euros, or approximately 83 percent of the nominal amount," the statement said.

The repurchase transaction has a value date of Jan. 24. Just under 250 million of the bond will remain outstanding.

Eni priced a perpetual dual tranche issue in the amount of 1.5 billion on Jan. 14.
