E.ON announces a significant reduction in CO2 emissions at Mannstaedt by optimizing energy efficiency.

Mannstaedt, the Troisdorf-based manufacturer of hot-rolled special steel sections, will in future use waste heat from its production facilities to feed into its own heat distribution network.

This will reduce the company's energy requirements for indoor heating by almost 40% and cut its annual CO 2 emissions by over 1,800 tonnes.

In total, the Troisdorf-based manufacturer expects to save over 1,800 tonnes of CO 2 emissions per year thanks to this package of measures.

According to a calculation by the Verbraucherzentrale Nordrhein-Westfalen, this corresponds to the annual emissions of 450 to 500 older single-family homes heated with gas.
