NEWTOWN, Pa. (AP) _ Epam Systems Inc. (EPAM) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $142.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the Newtown, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of $2.40. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.76 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.50 per share.

The information technology services provider posted revenue of $1.11 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.08 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $481.7 million, or $8.15 per share. Revenue was reported as $3.76 billion.

For the current quarter ending in April, Epam expects its per-share earnings to range from $2.58 to $2.66.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.17 billion to $1.18 billion for the fiscal first quarter.

Epam expects full-year earnings in the range of $11.36 to $11.69 per share, with revenue expected to be $5.15 billion.
