STOCKHOLM--Swedish private-equity firm EQT AB said Thursday that it has agreed to make a significant investment together with Vitruvian Partners in specialist insurance provider CFC.

CFC specializes in cyber insurance and provides cover for a range of emerging risks to small- and medium-sized businesses, EQT said. It serves more than 100,000 businesses in more than 90 countries.

The transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals and upon completion CFC employees will remain the largest shareholders, EQT added.

With the transaction, EQT IX is expected to be 70%-75% invested.

Financial details weren't disclosed.
