NOTICE TO THE MARKET
Equatorial Energia S.A. ('Company'), pursuant article 12 of CVM Instruction 358, from January 3, 2002, and as required by BTG Pactual Asset Management S.A. DTVM ('BTG Pactual AM'), CNPJ/MF number 29.650.082/0001- 00 received in December 08, 2015, informs the market the following:
The funds managed by BTG Pactual AM, jointly, sold part of the stake held in common shares ('EQTL3') issued by the Company, being now below 5.00% (five percent) of the total shares issued by the Company.
Also, BTG Pactual AM highlights that (i) the aforementioned sale merely aims to perform financial operations, (ii) does not aim to change the Company's controlling stake; and (iii) the funds do not aim to achieve any particular stake.
Finally, the Asset Management declares that the stake aforementioned refers only to the funds managed by it, not having any interest by its Manager, BTG Pactual Serviços Financeiros S.A. DTVM, or any other related parties.
