Equinor ASA said Tuesday that with its licence partners Petoro AS and Wellesley Petroleum AS they have made an oil and gas discovery close to the North Sea Fram field.

Recoverable resources at the Swisher prospect are estimated to be in the range of 2 million to 6 million standard cubic metres of oil equivalent, corresponding to 13 to 38 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The licensees will now evaluate the discovery for a potential tie-in to existing infrastructure in the area.
