Two years after the launch of the partnership to promote education and research

on artistic disciplines, Equita - the leading independent investment bank in Italy - and Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera confirm their commitment to support students and young artists of the Milanese Academy.

This year the event "Accademia Aperta" - sponsored by Equita for the third year in a row -celebrates its sixth anniversary.

Due to the pandemic, the Academy was not able to host the event in presence but, thanks to the strong commitment of professors and students, an alternative way to visit the hidden venues, classrooms, laboratories and ateliers of the Academy has been proposed: a dedicated website has been setup, transforming the exhibition into a virtual event (link), this year entirely dedicated to the students attending the courses of Visual Arts of the second level diploma.

"Accademia Aperta" is the annual exhibition where classrooms of the historical building of Brera and other secondary locations of the Academy open to the public. Continuing its three-yearstradition, Equita has awarded with the "Premio Equita per Brera" the best artworks that participated to the "Accademia Aperta" exhibition: by considering values and competences of each student, a panel of judges from Equita, Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and Domus Editoriale, selected three artworks from a shortlist previously submitted by the Academy.

The winning artworks of the 2020 edition are:

Sara Harder - Movimento celeste, 2020

Ignazio Giordano - Edipo scaccia Polinice, 2020

In addition to the three winners, Francesco Conti, Lu Gingqiu and Yanel Reynoso received an honourable mention from the jury.

Andrea Vismara, Chief Executive Officer at Equita, commented: "The key purpose of the partnership between Equita and the Academy is to stimulate students to improve themselves and grew from an artistic - as well as personal - standpoint: the winners of this third edition and all the other participants to the competition are clear examples of how todays' students are plenty of talent".

The winning artworks will be acquired by Equita and exhibited permanently at the Equita premises in Milan, via Turati 9,

expanding the private collection build up over the years with the artworks acquired during the previous editions of the Equita awards.

Equita, in addition to the "Premio Equita per Brera", renewed its commitment to support young students and artistic disciplines by sponsoring scholarships and subsidies for lectures and research dedicated to students and tutors.
