Eramet: 2024 targets lowered for manganese and nickel

Eramet has lowered its 2024 targets for Comilog and PT Weda Bay Nickel, given the deteriorated market conditions for carbon steel in China and the lower-than-expected nickel ore sales permit issued by Indonesia.

As a result, the mining and metallurgical group's target for manganese ore volumes produced and transported in 2024 has been revised to between 6.5 and 7 million tonnes (compared with 7 to 7.5 million tonnes previously).

PT WBN's external nickel ore volume target has been revised to 29 million wet tons in 2024, of which two-thirds will be high-grade saprolite and one-third laterite (compared with 40 to 42 million previously).
