ERG among the 40 blue-chips of the MIB ESG Index of Borsa Italiana

Genoa, 19 October 2021 - ERG enters the new MIB ESG Index, the first ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) index dedicated to the 40 most important listed Italian issuers that stand out for their best practices in sustainability.

The new index combines the measurement of economic performance with ESG assessments, in line with the principles of Sustainable Development of the United Nations and according to the criteria established by Vigeo Eiris.

The inclusion in the MIB ESG index represents a further recognition of ERG's commitment in the energy transition path in which it was a pioneer and of its business model increasingly oriented towards sustainable development that places ESG at the center of its strategy.

ERG's presence in the MIB ESG Index follows the previous inclusion of ERG in the S & P Global Clean Energy Index, the Standard & Poor's Stock Exchange Index which includes the main international companies that are leaders in the production of green energy and with high ESG standards.
