ERIE, Pa., April 29, 2021-Erie Insurance(NASDAQ: ERIE) has been named to the Forbes list ofAmerica's Best Employers for Diversity 2021. Of the 500 companies recognized, Forbes ranked ERIE No. 18 nationally and the top company in Pennsylvania.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to survey 50,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees and pinpoint the companies they identified as being most dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion. This is the second consecutive year Erie Insurance was recognized by Forbes for its diversity and inclusion efforts.

According to Erie Insurance President and CEO Tim NeCastro, strong corporate diversity and inclusion commitments should be measured not just in words or intentions, but in its actions over time.

'We appreciate the recognition by Forbes of the strong diversity and inclusion efforts of our employees,' said NeCastro. 'We also understand that we must continue to do our part to overcome the barriers faced by many due to historic systemic discrimination.'

ERIE has had a formal commitment to diversity and inclusion for more than a decade. NeCastro is also one of more than 2,000 CEOs to sign the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
